The OSINT Cyber Hunt – S-Unit (Security Lab)
The OSINT Cyber Hunt consists of two parts:
An interactive presentation of around 30 minutes.
A practical session of approximately 2.5 hours in which participants work on a challenging hands-on exercise.
During the presentation, participants are introduced to the world of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). They will discover how publicly available sources—such as social media, search engines, and online platforms—can be used to gather information about individuals, companies, or organizations.
Afterwards, it’s time to put theory into practice. In a realistic Cyber Hunt, participants take on the role of digital investigators. By actively conducting research through open sources, they will experience how valuable information can be uncovered—while also understanding the risks that come with it.
The OSINT Cyber Hunt demonstrates how the very same techniques are used by both security professionals and cybercriminals.
What you will learn during the OSINT Cyber Hunt:
Collecting and analyzing open information: how to turn freely available data into actionable insights.
Raising awareness: gaining insight into what information about you or your organization is publicly accessible, and how attackers could exploit it.
Hands-on practice: directly applying OSINT techniques in realistic scenarios.
Relevance in cybersecurity: understanding why OSINT is essential for identifying threats and protecting personal and organizational data.
